My older sister Stephanie didn’t think she had enough on her plate. She wasn’t really that busy… she only started and ran her own graphic design company (www.uturndesign.com), taught marketing at the Art Institute of Boston, took care of a household and raised Avery & Ethan, my niece and nephew. With my eyes closed, baby. With my eyes closed!
So, she got together with her high school girlfriends for their 20th reunion and started a nonprofit, forgirlsake. Now my younger sister and few others have started their own fundraising groups to aid the project.
They are educating young girls in Uganda through a series of $20 donations. Each member of the group aims for twenty $20 donations, and with anywhere from 8 to 20 people per team, small amounts can make big differences.
They’ve sent 16 Ugandan girls to high school in the first two years!

They are building momentum! Go check out their site and see if you want to start a group of your own!
